Seattle Snow

We had a very unusual start to our December this year last week with snow.  It snowed on Monday and Thursday.  Fortunately it was typical Seattle snow.  It snowed in the morning, then the rain came, and it was gone by the evening.  The kids had a late start on Friday and that was it. Avery and Harper tried to go out and play in the snow, but it wasn't really worth playing in.  Friday when the snow was even more non-existent, Avery insisted in "shoveling" it.  She had a great time. Maybe one day she will shovel snow for real.
Also this week Daryl helped the girls decorate the Costco gingerbread house we got them.  That kit is the best.  You don't even have to assemble the house; you literally just take it out of the box and start slapping candy on that bad boy.  The girls actually enjoy eating the hard as a rock gingerbread house to.  When I finally put the gingerbread house out of its misery there were only three exterior walls remaining.

Here's the snow on Monday.

This was the snow on Friday morning.

Avery "shoveling" our driveway.

Here's another snow "shoveling" action shot.

Lately Avery and Harper are really into playing Minecraft on the X-Box.  It's like a giant digital doll house to them I think.

Here's our happy little couch potato.

The gingerbread house in all its glory.
