The Avery that got away.

We have what we call the 'baby corral' which is where Avery spends most of her day.  We recently made the area smaller by adding a new gate.  We only attached the new gate to one wall, thinking with the couch in the way she would not be able to get it open.  But we were wrong.

Avery in HD

Rachel and I may need to put a ban on visiting Bestbuy.  We visited the other night, and we were wooing over a fancy HD camera when one of the bestbuy employees told us they had an open box of that camera, which we were unable to resit.  We got it for $300 under the normal price, and well from now on our home videos are going to be in full HD.

Here are some sample footage I put together, you may notice some digital combing, but I'm pretty sure it's not coming from the camera, I need to upgrade my PC so I can re-encode the video better.

You may need to pop it out to get the full effect.  Blogger has some strange column width issues. (double click on the video and that will open a new window)

Avery eating her cake

Sorry this one took me a while to put together.  The footage of Avery was making my computer crash every time I tired to edit it.  I finally converted it to a different format and all is well.  Hope you enjoy.

Disneyland pictures

Here are my pictures from Disneyland. They must hate cell phone cameras there as I was able to take decent pictures of the ride pictures. Just know that I practice these faces all the time preparing for my next Disneyland adventure.

Christmas, Disneyland, Copious Amounts of Food, and Etc.

This Christmas we stole away to the more mild climate of Phoenix to be with my two sisters and their husbands, and more importantly our adorable new niece Addison born last month. The first weekend we were there Daryl and I drove over to Disneyland with my Dad and my sister DeAnna. We had a splendid time. As you can see in one of the pictures Alex's cat, Little Kitty, decided to jump in the bath tub with Avery. While in Phoenix Daryl and I attempted to eat a 2 foot long hot dog, but I was little help so we didn't finish. We also went down to Tuscon to try an eating challenge we saw on Man Versus Food. Daryl didn't get the 12 patty hamburger challenge, but instead opted for the tamer 6 patty hamburger challenge which he easily completed. We had a really great time, and we already miss everyone. (I know the Daryl hamburger before and after picture is backward, but I just don't care.)
