Someone up there likes us

Daryl and I went to the dealership to get our new plates today, and found out that the engine had gone out on our old Mazda. It looks like we dodged a bullet there. We didn't realize that the car was that bad. We had even took it in to the shop to get it checked out just before we went car shopping, and they said just to make sure we get the oil changed frequently. Things just really worked out in our favor. I didn't even want to buy a car that day, and I even told the car salesman that. I guess he's regretting being a little pushy now. (Don't get me wrong we didn't take the first or even the second offer he gave us. We made him work.) It's just amazing when you're letting the Spirit work with you, and you don't realize that's even happening until later.

Avery and the Wii

As you can see Avery loves the Wii. Every morning we both get weighed using Wii Fit and when I get the balance board out she jumps up on it and starts to run in place. It's pretty dang cute. Sometimes I am in a generous mood, or need to do things like go to the bathroom or cook dinner so I turn the Wii on and give her the Wii controller to distract. This is the cuteness that results.

Mr. Kitty Would Like You to Have This

Don't you wish you're cat was this concerned about your welfare?

Thanks Aunt Joanne!

Avery got her Valentine's Day card from Aunt Joanne today, and she loved it. She read it and carted it all around her area and smiled when she got it. She especially enjoyed the part when she ate the card. That's right my kid eats cards and books. Thanks for remembering us Aunt Joanne!

THUNK

Avery climbed out of her crib this morning. Apparently we weren't fulfilling her baby needs quick enough. Fortunately she is no worse for the wear despite her action packed morning. I guess this is a sign that she's ready to be in big person bed.

Goodbye Mazda, you won't be missed.

About two weeks ago Daryl and I decided that maybe we should just trade in his Mazda because we had some problems with it before and we felt like we could be waiting around for something else to go wrong. We decided maybe we should get something out of it while it still has some value. A week later we had a new car.

Now we are driving a 2006 Nissan Pathfinder and it is very nice. It is a grey color as you can see in the pictures, and it has all the bells and whistles. I must confess that I really enjoy seat warmers and that is probably my favorite thing about the car besides the fact that it can seat seven, has roof racks, and is all set up with a hitch in the back. I'm trying to convince Daryl that we need to do a Brady Bunch style camping trip in the Grand Canyon. Maybe get a pop-up tent to tow around. Wouldn't that be great? I name all my cars. For example, my trust '96 Honda Accord is Ted. If you've seen him you know it suits him. If you have any name suggestions feel free to make them. I'll just let you know that I have a feeling that this one is a boy. (Yeah were just a little crazy here, but I didn't need to tell you that probably.)
