A Quick Trip to Las Vegas Sans Children

Daryl is turning forty this year, so instead of a big party or something we have instead declared it the year of Daryl.  In the year of Daryl we are going to try to some things Daryl has always wanted to do.  With this trip to Las Vegas we did two things Daryl has always wanted to do:  see Jerry Seinfeld perform live and see the Grand Canyon.  Jerry Seinfeld was hilarious.  Las Vegas was actually the most convenient place to see him which is why we came in the first place, but it worked out well for Daryl because he's always wanted to see the Grand Canyon.  We were able to take a helicopter tour to the west part of the Grand Canyon near where the sky walk is.  We even landed and had lunch at the Grand Canyon.  It was a great time and it was nice to have a little time away from the kiddos.

The view form our hotel.

The helicopter we rode in.  This is actually when we had to stop for gas on the way back.

The Hoover Dam

Beautiful Grand Canyon and I believe a muddy bit of the Colorado river.

This is where we stopped for lunch.

Seeing Jerry Seinfeld.

Daryl made me take this picture for some reason, and I don't remember why.
