Five Months Old

Somehow five months has just flown by.  A couple weeks ago we just went ahead and bought a second pack and play to put in Emery's room.  Now Luke sleeps with Emery at night.  It seems to be working out well.  Emery has only woke up to Luke's crying once, and he has started to sleep until five and six in the morning.  He still naps in our bedroom though, so I don't have to try and coordinate napping with Emery.  Luke rolls over from tummy to back and back to tummy.  Until this morning though I have never seen him roll over.  I finally was able to witness it for myself.  He continues to be a sweet guy.  He is just barely growing out of his three month clothing, so he's still pretty shrimpy.  We all just love him to pieces.

Avery is supposed to read every night for her homework, and she is really happy to read to Luke.  She is reluctant to read to us, but just loves to read to Luke.

Hanging out in Mom and Dad's bed.

He spends a lot of time on his side, and that little cow toy is one of his favorite things to play with.

He's definitely taller than the monkey now.

Luke loves to stick out his tongue.

Avery really wanted to be in a picture with Luke.  She's waving hi.

Our Easter Weekend

We did all the normal stuff this Easter weekend like hiding eggs and putting out baskets for the girls.  None of which I took any pictures of.  Avery and Harper were excited about hunting for eggs, and Emery was pretty indifferent even with help.  Emery did love eating Easter candy on the other hand.  She kept coming over and over again with a chocolate to unwrap.  She ate more than the other girls did.  After a pretty low key dinner we took the whole family on a walk to the temple to solve our serious wiggle problems.  It was a nice day.  Here are the few pictures I took that are Easter related, and the one picture that I took on Saturday.  Saturday is becoming the most dreaded day of the week with Daryl in class all day.

This is what Saturday morning consisted of.  Everyone was eating Nutella, and it felt a little like The Lord of the Flies.

Avery made a picture of an egg to help decorate for Easter and wanted to be pictured with it.

Here's a close up of the egg that Harper drew.

Avery says she drew this picture of the Easter bunny all by herself.  That red mouth was a bold choice.

Other Stuff that Happened in March

Looks like we all made it through another month.  We had a pretty good March.  Daryl and I stayed the night in downtown Bellevue and reveled in doing nothing as a celebration of our eighth wedding anniversary.  Harper will be a peer model at the developmental preschool at Avery's elementary school next year.  She was sad when I told her that school wouldn't start until September.  She was ready to begin right now.  We finally chose a general contractor to work with on our new home to, and hopefully we will be soon posting pictures of demolition.  Enjoy the pictures of other random happenings in March.

Avery thought when I told her to put away her dirty socks that this was an appropriate spot.  Sadly I'm not sure how long the socks were in there before I finally noticed them.

I let the girls play with a diaper box for a week or so, and they had a blast.

Luke sat in the Bumbo for the first time, and predictably I think it's adorable.

Of course everyone sits in the Bumbo too because they fit right?

I just love her giant kissy cheeks and the little curls in her hair.  Too bad you can't see her long eyelashes too.  This girl is so cute.

Cheesy Harper grin!
