If you think the traffic was bad on the west Seattle bridge this morning, don't even think about taking a boat.

Random Picture Fun
Harper now knows she can stand up on the little chairs at the counter just like Avery does. |
Avery has been putting her blankets around her like this for the past couple weeks. I'm not sure if she is practicing for a Christmas pageant really early, or pretending to be a babushka. |
Harper loves to "push" Avery around in the doll stroller. |
Harper driving her Mini Cooper around on the deck. |
Avery and Daryl having a tender father and daughter moment. |
Harper trying to pick up poor Sebastian who somehow was trapped in our barbecue tonight for a good half hour before we found him. I blame the children. |

A Very Late Birthday Party
At Christmas we assured Daryl's Aunts Debbie and Donna that we would wait to have Harper's first birthday party in our new home. Harper's birthday was at the end of the January, and we finally were able to have them over this last Saturday. Daryl and I actually had forgotten the part about Harper's birthday, but Debbie and Donna didn't.
In addition to Debbie and Donna, Kent and Laif were there too as well as Aimee and Tyler. Everyone was able to see the house and we had a very scrumptious pre-cooked Costco meal. We had a great time. Thanks for coming over everyone it was great to see you!
Harper enjoyed smearing cake all over her person, but wasn't really interested in eating it. |
Tyler was very good and helped Harper open up gifts. |
All the kids really enjoyed playing with this little race car track. |
Here's everyone taking it easy. |

The Virtual Tour Finally Finished: The Master Suite
I finally got around to putting up the master suite. I haven't sugar coated it for you though. Everything is in its rough, unorganized, and unfortunately current state. Maybe this will make you feel better about your home though. Glad I could help. Enjoy!
Here's the landing right outside the master suite. |
Here are all the windows. Do you like the little garbage can off to the left sitting on the railing. If you have little kids you understand why it's there. |
Here is the main bedroom part. I have bravely left unfolded clothes on my bed for this picture. |
Here's are fireplace with requisite television above it. |
This is my dream closet. I could never imagine needing more room than this. |
Here's the other side. |
The vanity, and yes my cat calendar. |
The tub. One of Avery and Harper's favorite hangouts. |
I really, really like my shower. |
Extra storage over by where the water closet is. |
The office just the way we want it. |
Who wouldn't want a pile of boxes blocking your access to the deck? |
My Mother's Day gift was this nice little bistro set from Costco. |
Here's the view from the deck, and you can see the balcony off the bedroom too. |

A Rare Day
Avery got into my mascara for the third day in a row. I'm sure I'll find this funny some day. |

Too Much Cute
The other day I went upstairs for a moment and when I came back down I found Avery and Sebastian sitting together. I'm not sure whose idea it was to cuddle, but they sure looked very sweet together. Then the next day I left Avery and Harper watching television together, so I could finish getting ready for the day. Harper was sitting alone in the recliner when I left, but Avery must of thought she was lonely. She decided to sit next to Harper.
I couldn't get Avery to smile or Harper to put down the cell phone. |

Our Flower Girl
Avery loves flowers, or what she thinks are flowers at any rate. She's been picking lots of dandelions for us lately. I've been putting the bouquets she picks for us into vases. The first time I just put them in the vase without any water, and she loudly pointed out that they needed water. Apparently she is aware of what you are supposed to do with cut flowers.
Avery had little fuzzies in her hair from her flower picking ventures. |
