The August Leftovers

Harper and Emery slept together a few times this summer

Luke wanted to maximize his cone eating experience by using a straw to suck up every last bit of ice cream

Avery went on a mom date and she wanted to eat McDonalds

Then I made us go get ramen

Luke really wanted a pony tail like Avery

I took Emery and Luke to the first day of the Washington State Fair while the big kids were in school

Yellowstone

In August we continued our celebration of the year of Daryl by going to visit Yellowstone.  We were lucky enough to have Aimee, Karl, and Tyler travel with us.  I'm not sure about the kids, but the adults really enjoyed Yellowstone.  We jammed as much as we could of the park in three days.  We stayed outside the park in Idaho in a spacious house where Tyler and Avery were thrilled to have their own rooms.  We got to see bison, but didn't see any bears despite Aimee doing her best to be on the lookout.  Yellowstone was gorgeous, and I can't wait to come back.
On our way there we stopped off in Spokane for lunch

Here we are at Old Faithful

Full House II: The Return

So this how the weekend worked.  Paul and Nellie with Reagan in tow came up to see Pearl Jam with DeAnna and Brad.  Adam and Angie were out of town that weekend for a wedding, so Brad and DeAnna were watching Logan and Benny.  That meant the night of the Pearl Jam concert Daryl and I watched our kids as well as Reagan, Logan, and Benny.  Then DeAnna and Brad didn't want to go home the night of the concert of course, so they just ended up staying the weekend too.  We celebrated Daryl's 40th birthday too.  The kids had a great time as always.

Fun with Tyler

We ended up doing a lot of fun things with Tyler and Aimee in August.  We went to lunch a couple of times, visited Fox Hollow Farms, and went to Flying Circus.  Then one Saturday we went to Bell Square with Aimee, Tyler, and Karl to see some amazing Lego creations on display there.  The kids also were able to create their own Lego cars and race them.
